The School of Industrial and Labor Relations at Cornell University is the leading college of the applied social sciences focusing on work, employment, and labor policy issues and practices of national and international significance. We designed materials for the ILR-sponsored, historical gathering of more than 560 trade unionists and scholars from 53 countries who came together in NYC to address the challenges of the globalization of firms, finance, and labor markets.

Survey

Online Survey & E-mail Campaign

DETAILS: We worked with the school to develop a series of four highly involved union surveys using an online survey application to analyze “The Changing Climate for Union Organizing at the Turn of the Millennium”. This project was a joint effort between Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations and Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs and Department of Political Science. This study was the first of it’s kind and lasted for two years.
